Terms of service
Effective 30 July 2026
Sourcevine has not been released yet. Right now these terms cover your use of this website and the early-access list. The sections about the app take effect for you when you create an account after launch.
1. What the service does
Sourcevine lets you record a spoken idea, turn it into a transcript you can review and correct, and then run an AI analysis of it. The analysis searches the web, returns a structured report in which each finding cites the source it came from, and suggests directions you can explore further with a focused follow-up analysis. Reports are saved and versioned, and you can turn points from a report into dated to-do items.
By using this website or the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
2. The early-access list
If you give us your email address, you are asking to be told when the app is available. We will send you a message at launch. We are not promising a launch date, a price, or that any specific feature described on this site will exist in the released version — this is a product under development, and details can change.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough under your local law to agree to these terms.
4. Analysis runs and payment
- Work is measured in runs. One run is one analysis, one deep-dive, or one whole-tree summary.
- New accounts receive 4 free runs, once per account.
- After that you can buy credit packs. The prices shown on this site are the prices we plan for launch; the price that applies to you is the one displayed at the moment you buy.
- A run is reserved before the work starts, charged only when it completes, and refunded automatically if it fails. You are not charged for work that did not finish.
- Credits are for use in this app. They have no cash value and are not transferable.
- Purchases made through an app store are subject to that store's refund process, which we do not control. If you were charged for something that did not work, email us and we will try to put it right.
5. What you may not do
- Record other people without their permission where the law requires it, or upload audio you have no right to use.
- Submit content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Use the service to plan or carry out harm to other people.
- Try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or work around limits in the service, including automating it to farm free runs or creating extra accounts to get the free-run grant again.
- Resell the service or pass off its output as an independent professional opinion.
6. Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to what you record and to the reports produced from it. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, send it to the transcription and analysis providers listed in our privacy policy, and show it back to you. We do not publish it and we do not use it to train models.
7. What AI analysis is and is not
Reports are generated by AI from material it found on the web. The product is built to cite a source for every finding and to say plainly when it could not find one — but a cited source can still be wrong, out of date, or misread. A report is research to check, not advice to act on. It is not legal, financial, medical or professional advice. Decisions you make from it are yours.
8. Availability
We will try to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may need downtime for maintenance. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your reports.
9. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for lost profits or lost opportunities, or for decisions taken on the basis of a report. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be waived.
10. Ending it
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time; email us and we will remove your data as described in the privacy policy. Unused credits are not refunded when you choose to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 5, or that we are required to close by law — and if we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund unused credits.
To leave the early-access list, use the unsubscribe link in our email or write to us, and we will delete your address.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Vietnam. This does not affect mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
